NVIDIA PhysX Source Code is the open-source release of NVIDIA’s high-performance, real-time physics engine. Developed and maintained by NVIDIA, PhysX provides cross-platform C++ libraries for simulating rigid-body dynamics, collision detection, constraints and joints, character controllers, vehicles, and scene queries (raycasts, sweeps, and overlaps). It is engineered for scalability—from multicore CPUs to optional GPU acceleration via CUDA—making it suitable for games, robotics, virtual production, and simulation. The repository includes complete source code, build tools, samples, and documentation, enabling developers to inspect, customize, and integrate the engine into their workflows. Distributed under a permissive BSD-3-Clause license, PhysX can be used in both commercial and open-source projects.

NVIDIA PhysX Source Code is developed by NVIDIA. The most popular version of this product among our users is 2.8.
